The Association for
Global New Thought’s highly-anticipated Awakened World Conference
returns in 2008: The Evolution of Revolution, Shining Dawn’s Early
Light on Spirit, Science, & the System. In these times of critical
shift, standing up for a compassionate, sustainable, and just new
society is the most exciting conversation on the planet. Evolutionary
presenters include Thomas Barnett, Thom Hartmann, Audrey Kitagawa, B.
Alan Wallace, John Hagelin, Christine Chavez, and Lynne McTaggart.
Conference attendees will represent highly motivated students, teachers
and writers, scientists and other professional leaders, religious and
spiritual practitioners, artists, and social activists. The common
intention we carry in our hearts is for an Awakened World, one person
at a time, so each person present will become crucial to the overall
impact of the gathering.
The five-day event will be interwoven in such a way that generates
an expanded worldview for speakers and attendees alike. Participants will begin the day with contemplation and meditation, followed by a keynote presentation that immerses the gathered community in an atmosphere of information, opportunity and challenge.
On each of three afternoons, “The Science of Consciousness: Cracking the Noetic Code,” “Governance as if the Future Matters,” and “Aligning the Wheels of Compassion and Action” will be the central themes for a series of breakout sessions exploring strategic solutions at every level from personal to global.
A second round of discussion groups will give attendees opportunity to share grassroots models and resources and pursue a deeper synthesis by looking at practices and programs attendees, themselves, bring to the gathering.
Awakened World is famous for its deeply grounding and cosmically uplifting music. Old friends and new voices will weave their magic again this year, including a special concert by Deva Premal and Miten as part of their 2008 tour.
Evenings at the conference will be dedicated to connection! Enjoy the Compassion Banquet, concerts, skits and comedy, warm evenings by the pool and on the conversation-friendly grounds of the beautiful Esmeralda Resort and Spa.
For a separate registration fee, attendees are invited to work with a master teacher for a full day before the conference begins in a more intensive setting. This model has proved valuable to registrant and teacher alike because deeply attuned, and experiential work focused on the topic that draws your greatest passion allows you to come away with a comprehensive understanding and skill set for further engagement in the area your master teacher provides.
