    Arun Gandhi

    Arun was born in Durban, South Africa, fifth grandson of Mohandas K. Gandhi; in 1991,
    co-founded with wife, Sunanda Gandhi, of the M.K. Gandhi Institute for Nonviolence on the
    campus of Christian Brothers University, Memphis, TN, where Dr. Gandhi is also a
    scholar-in-residence. The Institute's  mission is to examine, promote, and apply the
    principles of nonviolent thought and action through research, workshops, seminars and
    community service. Co-director of the Gandhi & King: Season for Nonviolence program
    inaugurated in 1998 on their 50th and 30th memorial anniversaries;  lectures worldwide at
    colleges, universities and to popular audiences; highlights programs for prisons and in
    corporate settings; publications include several books, many articles and essays.
     

    Sunanda Gandhi
    M. K. Gandhi Institute for Nonviolence

    Co-founder of the M.K. Gandhi Institute for Nonviolence, and co-founder of A Season for
    Nonviolence, Sunanda was born in 1932 in India's Gujarat province. She married Arun in
    1958 and later co-founded the M.K. Gandhi Institute for Nonviolence. After marriage,
    Sunanda used her nursing training to help the poor, the unfortunate and the unwanted. As a
    member of the Maharashtra State Women's Council, she served on the Prison Reforms
    Committee, the Domestic Violence Committee and helped place 125 abandoned orphans in
    adoption. From 1958-1987, she headed up the sections for women, children, and a special
    academic tutorial for children in the Bombay news weekly, The Suburban Echo. She
    completed a study on the Status of Women in India, University of Mississippi, and with
    Arun, co-authored The Forgotten Woman, a definitive biography of M.K. Gandhi's wife (and
    Arun's grandmother). Sunanda is a senior researcher at the Gandhi Institute, working with
    material to be published as resources for nonviolence education.
     

    Dr. John  Hagelin
    Institute of Science, Technology & Public Policy

    Harvard-trained quantum physicist, life-long educator and leading researcher on higher
    states of consciousness.  He is Director of the Institute of Science, Technology and Public
    Policy, a {progressive} science and public policy think tank {that identifies, scientifically
    evaluates, and promotes through public policy prevention-oriented, forward-looking
    solutions to America's problems}.  In 1992 and 1996, Dr. Hagelin was the Presidential
    candidate of the Natural Law Party, a new political party dedicated to {promoting}
    sustainable, life-affirming policies and programs that are in harmony with natural law.
    Under Dr. Hagelin's leadership, the Party became the fastest growing political party in
    America, fielding more than 400 candidates on the ballot in 48 states in 1996.

    Sogyal Rinpoche

    Sogyal Rinpoche was born in Tibet and raised as a son by one of the most
    revered spiritual teachers of this century, Jamyang Khyentse Chökyi Lodrö.
    After Jamyang Khyentse passed away, Rinpoche continued his spiritual
    education with Dudjom Rinpoche, Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche and many other great
    masters.  He studied at university in Delhi and Cambridge, and began to teach
    in the West in 1974.  Rinpoche is a master of the Dzogchen tradition, and the
    founder and spiritual director, along with H.E. Dzogchen Rinpoche, of RIGPA,
    an international network of centres and groups that follow the teachings of
    the Buddha under his guidance.

    Having lived and taught in the West for more than twenty years, Rinpoche has
    developed a profound insight into the Western mind.  His rare gift for
    communication cuts through cultural, religious, and psychological barriers,
    to reveal the essential truth of the Buddha’s teaching.  Both the ease and
    humour with which he teaches, and his very presence, open the hearts and
    minds of his audience to an intensely personal experience of their own true

    expanded version EarthDance; Living systems in Evolution, Biology Revisioned, co-authored

    Elisabet Sahtouris, Ph.D. is an evolution biologist, futurist, author, speaker and consultant on
    Living Systems Design whose travels as a speaker have taken her from Asia and Africa to
    Europe, North, Central and South America, Australia and New Zealand. She has made many
    television and radio appearances in addition to live speeches and workshops.

    Dr. Sahtouris did her post-doctoral work at the American Museum of Natural
    History in New York, taught at the University of Massachusetts and M.I.T.,
    was a science writer for the HORIZON/ NOVA TV series and has lived exensively in Greece
    and in the Peruvian Andes. She organized Earth Celebrations 2000 in Athens, Greece, is a
