“Questions Floating in the Air” (whole group into small groups)
Questions pivotal to the INQUIRY stage have been distilled from phone interviews and attendee’s additional input. As we sit in receptivity, these questions will float before us on a screen. As anyone feels spontaneously drawn to a question, they will stand up and repeat that question, asking for 2-4 others who would like to discuss it in a small group. The group will go off and this will repeat until everyone is off in a group.

Whole group is asked to move their chairs into random groups of four. GEN NOW reps give a few examples of a radical idea that will change our future for the good. (Animations projected on screen depict many sectors of society in which emergent ideas may be called for so that each individual can choose an idea to which their own creativity is most relevant).
8:30 - 9:00pm
• Pads and pens are passed around. MC explains that 5-7 minutes will be given for everyone to write their thoughts (it might be a specific radical idea, or simply thoughts on the subject in general).
• Time is called and people are asked to pass their notes to the right.; they have several minutes to read the thoughts on the paper passed by the person next to them. THEY ARE INSTRUCTED TO REMEMBER ONE PHRASE THAT REALLY RESONATES.
• Papers are returned to their original writers and they may continue to write for another 5-7 minutes, MAKING SURE THAT THEY INCORPORATE THEIR NEIGHBOR’S RESPONANT PHRASE INTO THEIR OWN WRITING.
9:00 - 9:30pm
People share passages of their writing from the mic with some comments taken from the group on each sharing. Hopefully, we will see common themes, visions, and directions emerge.
