Dr Roger Teel, Moderator
Dr Roger Teel is Senior Minister and Spiritual leader of Mile Hi Church of Religious Science, Denver, Colorado.  He holds a degree in psychology and religion, is a Religious Science Fellow, and was awarded a Doctor of Divinity in 1988 and the Doctor of Religious Science Degree in 1999.  He is co-founder of the Association for Global New Thought, and serves on the boards of the Foundation for Affordable Housing and the Community First Foundation.

Dr. Michael Beckwith
Founder and Spiritual Director of the Agape International Spiritual Center.  A co-founder and President of the Association for Global New Thought, Dr Beckwith is the originator of the Life Visioning Process.  He is co-founder of the Gandhi King Season for Nonviolence, and a convener of the Synthesis Dialogues with His Holiness, the Dalai Lama of Tibet. A noted author and international keynote speaker, he has been the recipient of the Gandhi-King-Ikeda Award and the Humanitarian Award of the National Council for Community and Justice.

Rev. Dr. Kenn Gordon
President of Religious Science International and the founding pastor and spiritual leader of the Kelowna Centre for Spiritual Living in Kelowna, BC, Canada.  Dr Gordon has served nine years on the Board of Directors of Religious Science International, and is currently President and CEO.  He received a doctorate in Religious Science in 2006.

Dr. Kathy Hearn
Community Spiritual Leader (President) of United Church of Religious Science/United Centers for Spiritual Living.  She is the publisher of Science of Mind magazine and has served as Chair and Vice Chair of United Clergy of Religious Science.  Dr Hearn travelled to the Middle East as part of Harvard University's Abraham Path Initiative.  She was the sole female religious leader on this trip.

Dr. Barbara King
Minister and founder of the Hillside Chapel and Truth Center, Inc, in Atlanta, Georgia, as well as the founder and President of the Barbara King School of Ministry.  Her ministry was the first African American New Thought affiliate to establish a sister church in South Africa.  In 2003, Savoy Magazine recognized Dr King as one of the 100 Most Influential Blacks in America.  King is the author of seven books and monologs.

Reverend Christian Sorensen, D.D.
Spiritual Leader of the Seaside Center for Spiritual Living in Encinitas California. He served as President of the worldwide United Church of Religious Science is the Director of the nationally accredited Master’s Degree program for the Holmes Institute of Consciousness Studies. As a member of the Leadership Council for the Association for Global New Thought, his weekly spiritual messages are podcast worldwide. He is the author of Catch the Sprit - Riding the Waves of Life, its sequel, Catch the Spirit - Flying Through Life, Free Your Own Tibet, Good Cents, The Book of Prayers, and his most recent release, Soar, Flying above Turbulent Times.

Dr. James Trapp
President and CEO of the Association of Unity Churches International.  He is an ordained Unity minister and holds an AB degree from Princeton University, a JD from the University of Florida, and an Honorary Doctorate in Sacred Theology from the South Florida Theological Seminary.

Rev. Dr. Mary Tumpkin
President of the Universal Foundation for Better Living and Senior Minister of the Universal Truth Center for Better Living in Miami Gardens, Florida.  Her books include 'Tithing: Are You Ready?', 'Before You Pray -- Forgive' and 'Do You Know the Secret?: Understanding the Spiritual Nature of the Law of Attraction'.  Dr Tumpkin is currently the interim Senior Minister of Christ Universal

Dr. Frank zumMallen
President of the Affiliated New Thought Network (ANTN).  Founded in 1992 by independent Religious Science ministers, ANTN focuses on heart-centred connection, support and networking for independent Religious Science ministries. Dr. zumMallen currently serves as the Spiritual Co-Leader of the Center for Awakening Ways in Atascadero, CA.

 

December 7th Program Presenters

Moderator: Rev. Carol Carnes with New Thought Leaders Panel
Currently the senior minister of the Center for Positive Living in Calgary, AB, Rev Carnes carries on the tradition of New Thought to "liberate religious thinking of superstition and dogma."  As a member of the leadership council of the Association for Global New Thought, she was inducted into the Board of Preachers of Martin Luther King International Chapel at Morehouse College in 2000.  She has participated in the Synthesis Dialogues with HH Dalai Lama in India and Italy and is active in the Season for Nonviolence Campaign convened annually by AGNT.                                                                                                                                  

Rev. Abigail Albert
Religious Science/ New Thought Minister with the Affiliated New Thought Network since 2002, currently serving on that Board as co-chairperson of the membership committee. She and her husband, Steve Albert, are founding members of the All Faith Center.  Abigail is secretary and coordinator of the annual Interfaith Summer Nights Program for the Poway Interfaith Team. Rev. Abigail is a member of the All Faith Dialogue, the San Diego Interfaith Ministers Association and the Association for Global New Thought.

Rev. Jacqueline Triche Atkins, J.D.
A licensed and ordained minister serving as executive minister, administration & legal, at Power Circle Congregation in Chicago, Rev. Atkins is responsible for developing policies and procedures for the church’s 23 ministries, in addition to board and leadership development.  She was inducted into the Morehouse Board of Preachers in the King Chapel in Atlanta in 2006 and received her Masters of Divinity degree from Chicago Theological Seminary in May, 2008.

Dr. Heather Dawn Clark
International Centers for Spiritual Living. Senior Minister of Capistrano Valley Church of Religious Science in San Juan Capistrano, California since 1999.  She serves as task force leader for the Gandhi King Season for Nonviolence in her community. She  has served for several years on the Religious Science International Board of Directors and the Association for Global New Thought Advisory  Council.

Rev. Julie J. Montague
Chair of the Board of Association of Unity Churches International, and also serves as Minister to Unity of the Valley Church, located in White Rock, near Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.  Raised in Unity churches, she has studied and explored many faith traditions and honors the beauty and truth in each one.

Rev. Mary Omwake
Spiritual teacher, writer, radio host and retreat leader serving Unity ministries in Overland Park, Kansas, and Maui, Hawaii. Mary has spoken United Nations for the Season for Peace and Nonviolence and was inducted into the Martin Luther King Board of Preacher. She has served on The International Association of Unity Churches The Association for Global New Thought. She leads retreats and sacred tours to Assisi, Dharamsala, Africa and Hawaii.

Rev. Dr. Joan Steadman
Community spiritual leader at the Oakland Center for Spiritual Living in Oakland, CA.
Under her leadership, the Oakland Season for Nonviolence was formed.  In 2001, she was inducted into the Morehouse College Board of Preachers, and, in 2002, she was granted the Gandhi King Ikeda award.  Rev. Joan was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Divinity in 2008 by the United Centers for Spiritual Living.
