September 14th The Peace Intention Experiment

Have you ever wished that you could do something to achieve peace on earth?
Now you will have a chance to discover whether your thoughts can heal the world.

The Intention Experiment - a highly popular on-line 'global laboratory' involving thousands of participants from eighty countries around the world - is planning an ambitious series of scientific studies to determine whether 'group mind' has the power to lower violence in areas chosen for high crime and violence levels.

The Peace Intention Experiment will be launched with a pilot study on September 14, 2008, then run throughout 2009 and beyond, each time targeting a 'hot spot' of high violence around the world. A prestigious team of scientists from Princeton University, University of Arizona and University of California have agreed to create controlled protocols for the studies and measure the results.

To participate, you must register for the experiment, after which you will receive full instructions via email about how to send intention September 14. On the day, you will go to the Intention Experiment website, where the target city for that date will be revealed and you will be told to send intention for a short period. You'll then have the opportunity to discuss your experiences with participants from around the world on the Intention site forum. Several weeks after the experiment, you will be sent the study results of the study.
