“Proclamation from the Governor”

At the request of the Center for Conscious Living (CCL) Peacemakers and help of Anne Creter, The Hon. James McGreevey, Governor of New Jersey,  issued an Official State Proclamation designating "Jan. 30 to April 4, 2002 the Season for Nonviolence in New Jersey, and urging citizens to participate in local, national, and global educational community action campaigns and to honor those who use nonviolence to build communities that respect the dignity and worth of every human being."

”Peacemaker Website”

As part of our Peacemakers activities, one of our CCL members, Karen Schumacher has activated a website and program (windschange.com) to honor those who gave their lives on 9/11.  Each person is invited to get a card off the website with the name of one of the people from 9/11, perform an extraordinary act of kindness in their honor, and then pass the card on to another person and they do the same.  "One act of kindness can change a life, a nation, a world."

The Dayton Area Task Force has indeed filmed much of our events this year, as well as garnering the most tv media coverage we have yet to-date. We are in the process of ordering the various clips of media coverage through their clearinghouse, following our Closing Ceremony taking place 4/6, so we will forward our materials as soon after that date as possible.
